Founded in 2016, DK (Desiderata Kitchen) by Chef Ciara began as a vision to meet the needs of clients seeking a large selection of allergen free, vegetarian, and vegan menu options. Chef and founder, Ciara Finley, brings her love of great food and her passion for pleasing individuals with specific needs. Chef Finley attributes this passion to having to create meals for her daughter who at 1-year old developed allergies to soy, dairy, wheat, eggs, nuts/peanuts, and fish/shellfish. This task proved to be daunting during the discovery phase but was proof to Chef Finley that she was willing to do anything possible to meet the needs of her child’s diet. Her daughter’s life depended on meticulously selecting, cleaning, prepping, and cooking the freshest and minimally processed ingredients available.
